bruplex: Hey Cyphox -- I have the 1998 Tie Fighter release from gog on my Win8 machine -- I was wondering if I could add the extended missions off the Collector's Edition CD-ROM of Tie Fighter (not the 1995 one) to the gog.com install (i.e. the campaigns not included in the 98' gog.com edition).

It's also odd, I had X-Wing from the collector's edition running on my XP machine but couldn't get Tie Fighter -- I assume that's because X-Wing's release on the Collector's Edition used the TFvXW engine?

Thanks in advance -
i think you're mixing something up here. the 1998 gog-edition has of course all the missions the 1998 cdrom for windows has. its practically the same versions. there are no missing campaigns in tie1998 from gog.

then theres the 1995 cdrom for DOS, which has also all campaigns included. (this version is not on gog)

the only version of tie fighter that is missing 3 campaigns, is the floppy version, which is the one gog labeld as tie fighter 1993.

...

no idea about tie fighter, both xwing98 and tie98 are using the same engine.

The Collector's Edition CD for Tie Fighter (not the 98 nor the 95 release) has all the campaigns -- on the gog.com release, I only see Battles 1 - 4; 5 - 7 seem missing. Maybe I'm playing the older version?

you have to complete the first battles before you can access the later ones.

there are 13 actually.

theres a folder named 'support' which contains several topace pilots, you can copy them to the games main folder and use them to access all battles and mission in 'combat chamber'

itchy01ca01: Is there a way to configure the files from the cd-rom collectors edition to over-write or "fit" into the Gog version of Tie Fighter? If so, I'd love to know about it.
We did it for you, check your account :)

I see this when I view my account. There's no seperate collector's edition there or a change to one of the others denoted, have the files replaced the '94 files, or is it just not showing up for some reason?
