I have recently purchased both The Force Unleashed games. Whilst the second game is working perfectly, the first one works, but is unable to save games, as I receive a warning just as the game launches. I have tried reinstalling, verifying the game files, restarting the computer, but nothing seemed to work.
The warning I receive says: "Save failed. Please ensure that a valid storage device is selected and retry, or you may choose to continue but saving will be disabled."
The game is running on a laptop, so I don't have an alternative storage device. Also, the C drive (the only drive available on my laptop) has been defragmented and scanned and no errors have been found. My antivirus (Bitdefender 2017) is set to "game mode" so it shouldn't interfere with the game itself, it should only boost the laptops performance (which it actually does).
I have set up a Homegroup on Windows 10 with share enabled on all documents, and everyone has full permision over the game folder. Also, Windows 10 and all the drivers are up to date.
This issue happened before on the steam version for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and one of the solutions posted on the thread mentioned creating a Homegroup and giving full permision over the game folder, that's why I tried it on this game. As for other users worked, sadly for me it didn't. And it doesn't work for The Force Unleashed either.
I have purchased before Star Wars The Force Unleashed in physical format, installed it and played it (working perfectly), but I prefered also owning the game in a digital format. The first instalation folder has been deleted, and the game has been uninstalled. It seems that it has something to do with the GOG version of the game.
It is my first issue with any GOG game, and I would really enjoy playing this game. Any ideas, suggestions and fixes are welcome. Thanks!
