It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I can get both launchers (both the original and the GOG ones) to open (not at the same time, of course), set details, and create a pilot, but when it comes to pressing 'Play Plilot: 'Username', a large dark grey rectangle edged in dark green (presumably where the game window would be) appears at the top left corner of my screen and I get the Windows message 'Shadows.exe has stopped working'.

I'm using Windows 10. I've tried running either launcher, having all option-settings off, having some on, different window sizes, compatability modes (Windows 8 and Windows 95) and no compatability modes, but everytime it just goes straight to Shadows.exe has stopped working.

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it! :)

I was having the same issues.

I got the game working by moving it to my C: drive (it was previously on an external drive).

Hope that helps anyone else facing this issue.
