Ensure that The shortcut, ROGUE/ROGUE.EXE and ROGUE/Rogue Squadron.EXE are not set with any compatibility mode.
By default it is set to Windows XP compatibility.

Figured out how to change it.

When changing button mapping on the joystick tab, it automatically detects and set "BUTTON 1".

Pressed DEFAULT and yeah,, looks like the games does automatica mapping and works. Cant set nothing but the layout seems functional.

Remapping seems to be working now... huh

Thank you, this worked! I ahd to do the 'restore default'; thing too as well.
