So, I finally decided to buy this one - I know I complainned about gog releasing these games even when they were previously on steam, but I give credit to them and arrest my case as they seem to work A LOT BETTER tan their steam counterparts, good job there.

Only one problem, the helmet/interface shaking on the game is excessive, I used to have this game before and I don't remember that much shaking. I'm fine with it as long as there are explossions, but sometimes the helmet shakes like crazy fro no reason. Any info on this or how to remove it?

Thx.

Not sure if it's a bug or something else, but even without helmet, the screen shakes a lot.

But it only occurs in the the begining.

I'm not sure if the shaking is too much or not. I played it on the original Xbox quite some years ago so I can't remember, but now I have it on GOG (and started playing it yesterday) the helmet shaking does seem quite strong. That said, compare it to this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVGJFbMvqF4

The shaking is first shown at about 1:40 in the intro part of the game. The first mission then starts at about 4:30 where there is then some noticeable helmet shaking. This video shows helmet shaking like that I'm experiencing in the game up to yet. Is this what you are seeing?

As for how to remove it. I don't know if it is possible but I did spot the following lines in the User.ini file that you might be able to change the value of. Whether it affects helmet shaking, though, I don't know.

; bVisor=True
; bGlobalRumbleActive=True

So you could remove the ; to uncomment the lines and have this instead:

bVisor=True
bGlobalRumbleActive=False

Worth a try?
That shaking is part of the game. When you`re going through the spaceship it is about to blow up and there is a lot of shaking from minor explosions that actually puts you off your aim. It`s meant to do that for `immersion`. Just go with it and fire when the shaking dies down.

I don`t know if it is made worse by our better computers (making the shake faster?), but there`s not anything you can do about it. It`s over soon enough.

I think bVisor just toggles the HUD, and Rumble is controller related.
Here's a webm of the shake (doesn't work on firefox for some reason) in the pc ver.
http://w.webms.org/m/JueYSBGl.webm
Exactly the same amount as in https://youtu.be/zVGJFbMvqF4?t=90
I think the shake feels worse because you're using an accurate mouse and not controller's thumbsticks.
