I came on later and don't recall such an editor, sorry I cant help.
I seem to recall something somewhere that said the old editor could be used
still through rebed, im not sure about that or how, just recall something like that.

has anyone found a way to use REBED to load new cards? would love some help with this
Yeah I just bought Rebellion from GOG games last night because I loved using the Red Ed cards. However Red Ed keeps telling me that I do not have a full install of Rebellion even though it runs perfectly fine and I downloaded it from GOG games. If anyone can figure out how to get the Red Ed cards to work that would be awesome!

I think I came across this problem that you and others here are referring to that when following the install process on Windows Vista nd above with a download or copying it from the disk you have no registry entries that are required to get REBED to work this link has the necessary entries. http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Rebellion . I have not yet done this so I will keep you posted, and if anyone else succeeds please post. Still learn about modding Rebellion and there is not much out there on the process.
Someone might let me know if you upload a new card and have a good model for the new card does REBED let you connect the two?
AND just a warning if your models have to many polys the game will crash every time still looking for more info on the Limits in Rebellion.

It's a bit of a work around but so far it seems to work for me. You need the disk image and a virtual drive.

What I did is Mount the image onto the virtual drive then
go into the registry editor under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC\ Star Wars Rebellion

Find the entries for "DllLocation" and "TooBigLocation" make note of where they point to now and change those two entries to point to you mounted image. For example, if DllLocation had data value "F:\Games\Star Wars - Rebellion" I would then change that to "H:\\Rebellion" which is where my disk image is.

You can then load cards. And then once you have loaded everything, go back into your registry and change those two back to their original values.

Target_Renegade: Does anyone know where I can get the old editor for Star Wars Rebellion that let you modify missions for your characters so that the Rebels could do Assassination missions for example as I can't seem to do that on RebEd?
RebEd is perfectly capable of changing what missions different special forces can do.
Enter special forces section, choose type and then at the bottom there is a selector named "Available missions are those of:".

And thanks to "yel1owdart" for the solution, because i just tried it after installing Rebellion on W7 for the first time and it works just fine.

#####

Tried to add an upload of the Rebed setup file, but the forum has a size limit per file of 500kB so that was a no go unfortunately(file is just a bit over 1MB so it´s no big bother).
Anyway, it took me less than a minute to find a working download online:

Meanwhile, the SWDE editor seems completely unable to function in W7, it starts up but is unable to read or write files properly even with admin privileges.
so I managed to find rebed, is it possible to make it implement an auto-save into the game? I keep crashing and of course my previous save is an hour or more old. one thing I definitely DONT miss about old games. even galciv II had a turn-count based autosave.
I posted a tutorial to make RebEd work. I'd link it, but GOG won't let me post links.
