For those of you running into issues with messed up colors of the ships during the 3D battle scenes on a modern windows 10 computer, this is the fix I used.

Install Rebellion from GOG

download and install dgvoodoo2
just google, won't let me post link

Go to the MS folder under the dgvoodoo2 folder and copy all 3 dll files and place them in your rebellion directory.

Run Rebellion shortcut.

If you have any more issues try right clicking on your rebellion shortcut and select the proper video card to run it (for laptops with 2 videocards only)

Thanks that works, you have to use version 2.55_4 of dgvoodoo2 or older it appears.

I've tried this but whenever I go to an in Game battle the game crashes now :(

DDdraw.dll seems to be causing it to crash. With the other 2/3 copied over works fine, but still have the problems with the 3D Graphics!

UPDATE:

Used the latest version and got it working! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
