So, I can't get past the 4th stage (Flying the a-wing through the crystals) for the life of me. I looked up the passcodes, but they do not seem to work?

Well, some of the codes work. I just got falcon in the game. Seems that there are lots of extra codes on the internet that don't seem to work?

I've tried a lot of the level codes and haven't gotten them to work. Do caps locks matter? After you enter the code should it launch straight to the level or do you have to do something else? Does it even acknowledge the code?

It's also the 4th level I'm stuck on. I don't have enough lives to get through. But even then the game is hard and takes about 5 hrs to beat in one sitting IF you're good enough. Need codes to work for this to be playable.

UPDATE: This got me somewhere. Use a gamepad (A is fire) or joystick to press up + fire, down + fire, left + fire, right + fire on the lucasarts screen. There is an audio confirmation. After that the Enter Passcodes still didn't work for me, but Esc skips the current cutscene OR LEVEL so you can quickly skip levels up to where you wanted to be and + key (or Shift, =) will fully repair your health. This will let me get through the game without having to slog through it in one sitting.

The reason they don't work is that apparently most password lists on the web are for console versions of the game which appear to have more passwords than the PC version. Console versions seem to have them for each level while there's only four checkpoints per difficulty setting in the PC version (+ a password for the final cutscene... for each difficulty level).

I haven't beaten the entire game yet but so far [url=http://www.gamewinners.com/Cheats/index.php/Star_Wars:_Rebel_Assault_(PC)]this list[/url] is identical with all the passwords I have discovered in the GOG version.

And yeah, I'm aware that this thread is ancient but I figured that this would be helpful to others with the same problem (especially if you mark this post as the solution).
