Well, the games were made by different companies with very different objectives. Bioware made a by-the-numbers Star Wars story, whereas KOTOR 2 is more of a deconstruction of tropes that Star Wars and Rpgs in general make use of.

Different developers. KOTOR 1's story line is more 'direct' with a nice plot twist, KOTOR 2's story line tries to question the Force and tries to explain what the Force is.

idid see that i did like nr 1 best but nr 2 not soo good but i need to complet that too i know
You are using the tslrcm mod on KOTORII, right? If not, then you should. There are things that won't work right, and some of the story doesn't make perfect sense without the mod.

no becase when i did play the game first time i was soo confused but when i am done playing nr 1 that works for me on gog not on steam i am gonna play nr 2 and install that mod

did maby play nr 2 about 1H30 min it was a confusing game
Only 1.5 hours into the game, I don't think there's much difference between the two games. Same controls, same character system, similar character creation. Not sure why you would find one so much different from the other. The second one has a tutorial that breaks things down into very simple pieces.

If you have trouble with it, come back and give us specific things that are hard for you. We will explain as well as we can.

it was soo strange that i did think that when i complet nr 1 and nr 3 will be contince the story since it was the 2 games of the same title i know combat is the same and all that. but for me it was like the nr 2 did not follow what did happed in nr 1 as it was a new story to play.

I like those game a lot
Well the two games are certainly related since the second takes place some years after the events in the first game. There are some characters from the first game that show up in the second. But mostly it is all new characters engaging in an all new story. Still, it should not be more confusing than when you played the first game, since that was an all new story for you.

And by making stuff up, it failed completely in that regard. It's as if Avellone didn't even watch the movies. There's nothing wrong with exploring and questioning different things, but going against the foundations of the franchise and contradicting them just because he felt like it ends up affecting KotOR II as being part of Star Wars. It's a good RPG, but not a good Star Wars game.

Avallone's liberties made more sense than Lucas' liberties.

I'll take that as a bad joke.

a clever Lucas afterthought, for example:

"Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. They continually speak to us, telling us the will of the Force. When you learn to quiet your mind, you'll hear them speaking to you." ―Qui-Gon Jinn, to Anakin Skywalker
