Hello Gog,

I have a simple request. Please release the KotOR 2 soundtrack as part of the bonus features for KotOR 2! :-)

This game has one of the most epic soundtracks of any game ever made imo and is vastly underappreciated. Also, I would have bought it a long time ago had it ever been made commercially available. Please make this happen if at all possible!

Thanks!
The soundtrack can be found in your KotORII folder/StreamMusic. As .wav and some .mp3 files, so you can play them with windows mediaplayer and everything.
There are only .wav files (.mp3 would be added material from mods).
You cannot play those with mediaplayer, however if you rename them .mp3 you *can* play them with WMP. Just make sure to modify the extension on copies rather than the original.
They might still work ingame renamed, but better safe than sorry.
Well, I think I got about 6/10. ^^
Hello Everybody!

I couldn't find a better, pertinet discussion in the KOTOR series' discussions so I will pose two questions here:

1) does the KOTOR 1 game come with the official - playable - soundtrack (I know it's not listed in the game extras in its store page)? It's winter sale and I want to get it but without the OST I might consider waiting until it's finally available

2) same question for every other game in the "sabre bundle"

Thanks a lot!

1. No. This game was released in 2003. Don't hold your breath.
2. Same as above. If it's not in the bundle, don't hold your breath.

Thanks for the reply!

Would you know by any chance how to get it/retrieve it from the game's files? Another two issues that keep me wondering:
1) there are far older games than KOTOR which have the OST as an extra [HoMM and MM series]
2) KOTOR OST was composed by Jeremy Soule - same guy that composed the Neverwinter Nights [2002] OST (which is available as an extra as well)

At this point I wouldn't mind adding a specific wish on the community's wishlist. How viable may that be in your opinion? Has GOG ever granted OST wishes?

There was never an official OST for KotOR. There was briefly a few cues available on the official web site in 2006, but they have long gone.

GOG has no control over what soundtracks are released. They can only provide what the developers or copyright holders allow and provide.

Thanks a lot for the answer mate; after your reply I searched in Wookiepedia and, as you say, there never was anything official so to speak. I'll come up with something. Thanks again!
You can convert the tracks to listen to the exact same way as KOTOR2.
