So, I got to Dantooine, became a Jedi (mechanics-wise, anyway, story-wise still an apprentice), and went off to do the Grove task. On my way there, I ran into a farmer, asking me to get rid of Mandalorians raiding the community.

Later on, I saw a brief cutscene, with Mandalorians killing a farmer (the one telling them to take his wife and children instead, the jerk), and then just standing there (well, one was fighting the Iriaz attacking him, but when it dies, he just stood there, too).

I tried talking to them, but nothing happened, so I assume they should just turn hostile, but they don't.

The only mod I have installed is content restoration one (Got the link to it from the mods sticky).

Anyone ever had this problem? How did you resolve it?

I'm confused, who is left standing, the Mandalorians or the farmer?

I've played that planet a kaziilion times but this is new to me unless I'm having a major brain fart.
Oh. Sorry, I'll explain. It roughly goes like that:

Mandalorian: "You are late with paying us money."
Farmer: "Don't harm me! Take my wife and children instead! Anything!"

Mandalorian shots the farmer.

Mandalorian: "Wife and children... hmm."

Then one of the Mandalorians (not the one talking) fought and killed an Iriaz attacking him, and then they all just stand there.

Well you are supposed to attack three (or four) groups of Mandalorians and kill them all (how you end up reporting it depends on what side you are taking). Honestly I don't remember seeing that scene happen but it's things like that which is why you are hunting them. Wondering if that is part of the restored stuff you mentioned because I never used that.

Have you tried leaving the area? Go mess around somewhere else, come back, see if the Mandalorians are still there and if so, can you attack them.
I left them alone and went to do the Grove task. Ran into some other Mandalorians, who were hostile all right, and after they died, my quest log was updated about "other Mandalorian groups".

Maybe the mod enforces it done in that order, and they'll be hostile now, I'll have to check I guess.
I killed two other groups of Mandalorians, but this one is still non-hostile.

As far as I recall from playing KotOR previously, I had to kill all three groups for their leader to show up.

Any suggestions?

Edit: After digging on the Internet for a bit, I found a solution (well, workaround actually).

1) Get the save editor for KotOR (I downloaded it from http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/503-kotor-save-game-editor/ )
2) Go outside of the zones with Mandalorians (I just used "Return to Ebon Hawk" on a map).
3) Save the game (preferably in another slot, so if something goes wrong, you will have an unaffected save).
4) Open the save in the editor, and go to Globals - Numerics - Dan_Mand_State - change it value to 4, apply and commit changes.
5) I suppose game now "thinks" you killed all three groups, and leader will spawn in the Grove area.

It's a bug in the older versions of K1RP.

So... use the most recent instead!
Well I used the latest version of that mod and still had the exact same bug with the one mandalorian group not attacking me. So I went and did the savegame thing. :D
Actually you just need to stand there a while without getting close to the mandalorian untill those annoying animals walk away, after that get closer and trigger the cutscene, since those animals break the game, and if the cutscene stars when they are near the mandalorian they will attack him which will stop the cutscene and break the game forever
