KOTOR crashes imediately after character creation. Any way to fix this? I already tried switching it to administrator, windows xp service pack 2, and 3, and I also tried looking for any files in the game directory with ati in the name to delete but none appeared to be there all to no avail.

Hardware specs? The crash after character creation is usually an indicator that you are trying to run the game on unsupported hardware, most often Intel graphics hardware.

Turn off the Frame Buffer Effects in Advanced Graphics Options. Fixed it for me.
