So i have been playing for weeks now and it worked just fine. I am about 27 hours in in fact.

I am up to Nar Shadaa and am juust about to board Goto's ship when suddenly... the game starts crashing to desktop.
All the time! I can maybe play for a minute, sometimes more, and it crashes. Dont know why it started happening this far into the game, but hopefully someone who's had this issue can help.

I am playing with the restored content mod and a custom resolution(although it is definitely not the cause). I reinstalled the game and it iis still happeninng.

Would greatly appreciate any help with this as I really don't want to drop the game now. Thank you.

I would try by either setting the game to run in windowed mode or enabling vertex buffer objects.

In order to run the game in a window:
1) Go to the game's folder and edit swkotor2.ini;
2) Add AllowWindowedMode=1 under [Graphics Options];
3) Change FullScreen=1 to FullScreen=0;
4) Save the configuration file and run the game.

In order to enable vertex buffer objects:
1) Go to the game's folder and edit swkotor2.ini;
2) Change Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 to Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=0 under [Graphics Options];
3) Save the configuration file and run the game.
I've been having issues with this lately too.

My guess is a Win 10 update is breaking this game, as many of my older games have had issues within the last year or so. I don't think there is a great solution, except maybe to switch to Linux and use WINE, which generally works for older games and many newer games these days.

As I am currently doing remote work that requires Win10 on my main PC, I just have to deal with crashes it seems. Oh well. Maybe time to switch to consoles for a bit and play emulated games instead.
