hi, i just recently got the game and after creating my character and the cutscene played the game strait up crashes without warning. any fix? btw i am running it on W10 with an intel 620

Same, im running with intel HD too, then that means tit's the game fault. if there are mods that can fix it will make my day

After installing TSLRCM and the planet, use this link to get the "patched" version of Steam that works with GOG version. Got it for my UHD 620 and it worked, widescreen included.

Hello, Does anybody have a link to download the steam .exe ?I have an Intel HD and I tried everything to make it work but unsuccessfully. The GOG support does not have any idea how to fix it and they can't pay it back as I bought it months ago. (I read on another post that someone got another .exe by the support but for my part they didn't send one).

Just to say I just got a replacement .exe by the support. It took me a few days trying everything they told me to do but if you have some time it's worth it. Hope they will fix the installer

The game crashes after character generation here, too. It just shows a black screen. Ctrl-Alt-Del can be used to return to the system; when I do that, it says, that the program does not react.

System:

OS: Win7,
Processor: AMD A4-4000 APU
RAM: 8GB
Graphics: Radeon RX 560 Series


EDIT: It works, when I have "Frame Buffer Effects" set to "off".

This tip worked for me as well, so it's probably graphics driver?

Try disabling Frame Buffer Effects and Soft Shadows in the options. It worked for me for the Steam version.

Hello, my game crashes right after creating a character. the first cutscene with the SW crawl plays then the game crashes to desktop. i've tried disabling frame buffer effects and soft shadows in the ini file (the options are greyed out in game) to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problrm as octublogedy. Frame Buffer effects and Soft Shadows are grayed out and can't be turned on or off.

Playing on ASUS laptop with Intel HD 620 graohics, Windows 10.

UPDATE: Others in my situation on a smilar GPU, go to the sticky thread about the DRM free Steam update. Scroll down to the post technohat made in May 2019 that has a workng download link for the patch. Follow installation instructions. Crashing stopped for me, hopefully it will foryou as well.
