I have Windows 7 64bit, and I can confirm that the GOG version works. It's even in the description:
"Works on: Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10) "

I was reading about this game on steam, and people having all sorts of issues with it. The Gog version people said they had no issues with. No clue why this would be, but it is good to know this version runs right.

Crash on windows 10.1511, latest nVidia driver (650m). The game fails with a message window claiming a nVidia kernel exception.

This is a fresh install. I have tried disabling soft shadows and VBO thru the .ini file.

I just downloaded from Galaxy Client, and it can't start. What could be the problem? I used to run GOG games directly after download, without galaxy. this time it can't. even I didn't use Galaxy Client now to load it, it won't start

I'm on Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, using i3-2100, no dedicated GPU. is that a problem?
