It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

You know, the one that is 2.4 GB in size and is marked as part two.

What am I supposed to do with that?

You need to have that .bin file and the smaller .exe file in the same folder in order to install the game. If they're already in the same folder double click the smaller .exe file to install the game.

Oh thanks, I thought I needed to do something special with it.

I already installed it and figured I needed it for something else.

You're welcome ;)
Hi.
The installation of the game freezes almost in half. The result of the check is corrupt file.
Usually the .bin file is numbered -1 or -2, etc.; what I downloaded is the same. That this is the problem?
Sorry per my bad english...
Thank you.
I'm having trouble installing too. It stops with just a little but left to go on the blue bar. It doesn't freeze it just never actually finishes.

Okay, so as soon as I typed this it finished installing. :P

For those of you on windows systems, I strongly recommend that instead of double-clicking the exe file, you right-click it and select "run as administrator". It is always good practice to do so and can't hurt. In the long run, it might avoid some problem-solving and re-installing.

-edit- Oh yeah. In case you have a version of win that does not offer the option to "run as administrator", then right-click the exe, select properties, go to Compatibility tab, select "Run this program as an administrator". Then "Apply" the changes and get out of properties and launch the exe.

There are many versions of windows out there, so there will be some variations on how to do this. You should certainly be able to find a method in properties, though.

Hi.
Thank you Alcaray, but my problem is this message:
"Installation failed with code: -3
It is likely the installer files are damaged - please restart the installer and enable Integrity Check in the Options menu.
If the file integrity is verified, and the problem persists, please contact GOG support".
Result: My problem persists !!!
I re-downloaded the files and the problem is always the same.
Can anyone help me ?
Thank you.
Try downloading using a different browser, disable any download tools/organisers, or use the GOG installer?

Ok, I'll try all.
Thank you.
I'm sorry. I was responding to some questionable advice that I saw in one of the solution posts rather than to your problem.

As to your problem: if I understand correctly, you have failed to download a pristine set of exe and bin files. I strongly recommend the GOG installer (as others have - not adding anything new to the discussion). Once you've tried it, I am certain that you will never want to turn it off.

Hi,
I was not understandable. Sorry.
Thanks for the advice.
May the Force be with you.

Hi. When I downloaded the game, both files were moved to my "downloads" folder. Is that alright or does it have to be more specific. Because the game and everything downloaded fine, it just refuses to launch.

If both files are in the same folder it's fine.

When you say refuses to launch you mean the game is already installed and it won't launch or is it the installer that won't run ?

I've contacted customer support about this. When I say refuses to launch, I'll click the program on my desktop, and nothing happens.
