Hello all.

I've re-purchased many StarWars games (due the "heat" of the StarWars 7th Episode in cinemas).
I've read that there are several patches, official, unofficial, etc which they're adding serious stuff, fixing bugs (oh boy, how many the KotOR 2 had!) and more.

Can some one tell me, after a fresh (GoG) version, which patches I have to install?
I've downloaded these:

sw_pc_english_from200424_to210427

TSLRCM_1.8.4.5_mod

M478EP_1.2.3

...Please, reply me back, if you may.

Regards,
Rom

None. Absolutely none.

Why's that?????? The game has lot of bugs. And there are several patches, including an official!
Isn't GOG version at least version aviable? At least, TSLRCM don't scream for patching it... But about you question - basically on GOG version you should/can go with latest restored content mode, and THEN with additional planet one.

Because you asked a question: "which patches I have to install?" The answer is none, because the GOG version is the very latest. Anything else you install is user content.
You do not need to install any official patches, the game comes with them already applied. If you want to expand the game, you can choose to install TSLRCM and M4-78, but they are not necessary to get the game running. However, I do highly recommend them.

For TSLRCM use the ones on Deadlystream, not sure if we updated the moddb ones, and not really inclined to update them now only to do so again later on once more...

Order:
TSLRCM
then
M4-78EP
then

Everything else, making sure to use compatible mods and never overwrite .2da files (just append to them with TSLPatcher).

That's wrong, because I've played this (GoG) version and IT DOES has bugs (as all, in Nar planet), the game "freeze" (you're walkin around doing nothing - doesn't "trigger" the next mission, as there are many post for it)...

So... I'm asking simply what to do, to play it properly.

Sorry, mate. The game (this GoG version) DOES have bugs, as all KOTOR2 version - as many are mentioning in many forum. As I wrote, in Nar planet, I've done almost everything and MIRA NEVER SHOW UP to continue the plot...
I even started the planet (Nar) just arriving on it, with WALKTHROUGH (step-by-step!) and still had problem at the same moment of the plot...

lupus_hegemonia:
You are also a bit wrong - the game never was properly patched - the fans fix a ton of bugs, and there, still, exists a chance something may not work for you. And you know - your problems can be tied to your machine - I don't remember having this problems on my un-restored version.
Regardless - that 'patch' of your still looks suspicious <you should have the least, official, version>, but TSLRCM and then M4. This should do nicely.

I never said it didn't have bugs (the game has always had tons of bugs), just that you don't need to apply the official patch since it already has it. In fact, applying the official patch will actually break the GOG version of the game by re-introducing the CD check. You don't even need the mods, which primarily restore cut content to the game. They do fix some bugs but that is not and never has been their main purpose. The fact is, this is a very buggy game, with or without any patches or mods.
If you simply install TSLRCM and M4 on top of the GOG version you will have the best luck. Also, if (when) you notice something going wrong, you will have a lot of support from your friends on this forum. If you install shady patches, your experience may differ. Just in case you come back here for support, be sure to let people know if you have added anything unnecessary to your installation.

You're wrong, and not the only person to play this game. You have been given the correct answer. What you do with it is up to you.
This isn't the first time I played it.
I'm 45 years old and I've played ALMOST ALL these GoG games from the first moment they released.
I've played this amazing KOTOR2 (and KOTOR 1 of course) and always had the same damn problem on that damn planet (Nar)... Never had the Mira-trigger, never could finished the gas-bar mission, never had the chance to battle on the Yacht ship...

Don't know... maybe I went wrong (planet order to visit) and something's wrong.
The point is... I've played SO MUCH and my character is (as in the first time I played, back then) very powerful and I can't just re-play everything from scratch...
I can confirm that Mira appeared just fine, I cleaned out the "gas-bar" (including discussion with vagrant captain), and I "battled" just fine on GOTO's ship (if that's what you are talking about). All of this I did on the version of the game that is described by so many people in this thread.

I believe that you have had problems. I've had problems! But this is the best version of the game that you can get. And when you run into a problem, then what you do is work the problem.

PS: My avatar pic is of me in the 70s.

-edit-

PPS: Why don't you spend an hour going through this forum. You will get a good idea of what problems people have had and what solutions were found. Also,, by their absence, you will get a good idea of what problems people are *not* having.

The cardinal rule with KotOR 2 is "save often and in multiple slots". The game's bugs are significant enough that you might have to reload an old save and replay parts of it to get around them. Without several incremental saves, that can mean replaying hours of game instead of minutes.
