"Minimum system requirements:
"Graphics: 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 9.0c and 256 MB VRAM"

Isn't 256 MB a lot for a game from 1999? I don't think you could even get that much back then.

I tried the demo version; but 3D graphics don't seem to show up. Behind the interface, the screen is just black. Any fix, or would I need to get the full version?

Edit: DirectX Diagnostic Tool -> Display says "Display Memory (VRAM): 128 MB". But System Information -> System Summary -> Components -> Display says "Adapter RAM: 1.00 GB". Which counts?

I don't know of a fix, but I think half a gig of RAM was just starting to be average at the time.

I don't think the demo version will be updated, in particular since the ufll version is relatiely cheap.
Minimum requirements should be taken with consideration that often video wrappers are used and other compatibility fixes.
And because most of us use a modern version of Windows system requirements tend to be a lot higher because of that.

This game runs best with dgVoodoo 2 by the way, I think gog is configured to use native d3d support.
