I remember this game being pretty much the best (except for maybe mechwarrior) game to use with the Microsoft force feedback joystick, does it still work in this version?

I can confirm that the force feedback in this game does indeed work with SideWinder Force Feedback 2 in Windows 10 out of the box. You might want to disable engine rumble as it made my joystick make a scary and annoying noise. Crashing your pod has a very annoying canned effect too.

Using the dinput.dll method for swe1r-patcher does breaks it though. You can still play with the joystick but all forces are disabled, even the default centering force. I didn't try the other methods since I rather play this game with keyboard anyway.
