I decided to create a topic about this cause I don't think there's one already.

An amazing project has been created in the past months that successfully reimplements DF2 in C, creating what is essentially a new, multiplaform source "port" of the game.

One of the most awesome features of this new implementation is the ability to finally play the game in true 60fps and beyond!

Omg This is aweseome! Works like a charm so far. True it's not finished but even as is works WAY better than the officiial releases.

I finally got it. It runs brilliantly on my main rig, but my main rig is in the shop now and it doesn't play well on my laptop at all (<60fps while the CPU gets to 98 degrees C). I can play Dark Forces 1 on the laptop with the force engine without any issues though.
