In the final battle against Jerec when I reach the point where the statues close up blocking the tower entrances, Jerec does some kind of white force blind and the game cuts back to the previous cut scene and it starts all over. Is this supposed to happen? Thanks.

I believe so, because if the statues block the tower entrance, that's the losing condition for the battle. There are switches behind the statues that stops them from moving temporarily.

That is right. As I understood when the statues completely close the entrences Jerec will be fully healed and you have to try again.
