There are no download links for a Mac version and I could not find any information about a Mac version.
Is there a Mac OS X verison coming? Was it in the works but then canceled? Is it Gog configuring the windows version for Mac OS X using something like Proton/Wine?

It works perfectly fine with Wineskin. My (much older) OSX machine took forever in load times, but that's about it. I'm not sure about Galaxy however, I only used the offline installer.
You'll need the unofficial Wineskin to use the widescreen UI mod however, as that's the only way you can boot from the desired place.
