Hidy ho all,

I was playing the CIS galactic battles campaign today. And I was doing quite well, lost a few planets, one a few more, and kicked the ass of a republic fleet.

But then they made a second fleet, and sent it after me. So I made a second one and met it head on...and lost.

See, in the first battle I hoped in a bomber and concentrated fire on the cruisers systems (life support, weapons, bridge, sensors, comms, ect.) And the second I took out the last system, I won.

And I had started another conquest game on my desktop, with the exact same result.

Only this latest one, that didn't happen. And I don't know why. So I got in an intercepter, and started shooting down ships. Did pretty good to, I think I got 2 fighters for every one I died. Still, I lost.

Was it a bug? Did I miss somehting with the battles? Or do you need to do something else with the space battles?

I remember there are objectives sometimes (I don't remember if this is story mode only, but I guess it is true for Galactic Conquest) other than the normal win conditions. You must fulfil this before running out of reinforcement.
I posted on the steam forums as well. As it turns out, there are point requirements to win a battle. It is possible to have none of your ships systems die, and still loose the battle due to star fighter losses.

Of course. If you lose all the reinformance points and you die when it is 0, then you lose, much like how you Game Over in old games if you lost all the Ups.
It doesn't seem to have any effect on reinforcemnts though. Because I don't have less pilots/friendly npc's around. I think its just a point system in this case.

That said, thanks for the help!
