I've played this game using first person perspective, but I've also played the PSP version, where you have target locking, so the reticule follows the target helping you aim, because you're using a game pad (in this case the PSP controls). I know the PS2 version also had a similar system. I wanted to play the PC version with my gamepad, on my TV, so basically play it like I would if I have the console version. Does the PC has this option? Or does it only have manual aim? When playing using the mouse and keyboard manual aim isn't a problem, but using a gamepad (at least for me is).

Thanks for the help.

ps: I have the steam version, but I've read since the update the multiplayer doesn't work. I've been using Gameranger for multiplayer, does the update also breaks that? Or is it only using the in-game server search that is broken?

You can target lock onto vehicles. I also use my gamepad, and it works great.

Gameranger seems to work fine after update.

So you lock and the reticule will follow the target like in the consoles?

BTW What button configuration do you use in your gamepad?

I set my gamepad buttons to match ps2 layout. PC version plays just like the console, basically.

Target locking is different than what you are talking about. You are talking about auto aim/sticky reticule/aim assist which only works in offline mode on console versions. Online it is disabled in all versions.

To answer your question, no PC does not have this feature included even offline.

Thanks. It was what I meant. The only console version of this game I've played was the PSP version, and I always used the aim-assist. Guess I'll stick with playing with a mouse and keyboard.
