Hello all. I've been having a heck of a time trying to get this game running smoothly... If I run the game in single player mode, everything works fine.

But when I try to get the multiplayer working, everything just falls apart.

I have a very nice machine acting as a dedicated server. It's an Intel I7 @ 3 GHz, and 6.0 GB of RAM. Should be way more than enough to run the dedicated server .exe. And when running the dedicated server, and having just 2 players connect, the resources of the machine are barely in use, so nothing is struggling.

Here is where it gets ugly...

All I'm trying to do is have 1 LAN computer connect to the 1 dedicated server machine. And they can connect just fine. But no matter WHAT I do, no matter what setup, no matter what settings, even when I just have both of them physically connected with Cat5, through a router, through a switch, no matter what... The AI sling shots all around, every single time. They freeze, speed up, skip, slide around like crazy. The ping in the server browser is always very low, like 50-70.

I've even tried swapping out Cat5 cables, the router, I even installed the dedicated server on another machine under a different operating system, I've messed with ALL the settings possible, it is always exactly the same, everything skips around like crazy. I've even lowered the AI count to just 2 bots, and even they skip around. Even when there are NO bots, the game is skipping around. I can tell when the game loads up and you can see one of the spinning rebel/empire icons at the control areas, they do not spin smoothly at all.

So I'm completely at a loss here. I've tried everything, and it refuses to run properly. I even went back and tried a strict Windows XP environment thinking maybe 7/8 had issues, but still it's the same exact thing.

Any advice would be most appreciated. I have a LAN party coming up and would LOVE to have this running properly, but I can't even get it to work with one (powerful) dedicated host, and 1 client machine without extreme rubber banding, skipping, etc.

Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope. :(
