So I got myself BF2 classic and downloaded it using gog galaxy, now i wanted to play with some friends, but the problem is, as soon as i clock on muktyplayer it tries to log in, but nearly instantly displays Error:connection failure.

Does anyone have a clue what the problem is and how to fix it? I'm angry and frustrated :c

It looks like many GOG users have the same problem. Yesterday, I could play multi, then I suddenly encountered this error and now I can't play multi. I wrote to Support so now I'm waiting for a reply...other than that, there's no official statement about this, so really don't know wtf is going on. We all should bring this problem to some GOG workers, like Twitter so they'll notice it.

At least I'm not the only one to encounter the problem, I really hope they'll fix it soon. It would be sad to see a game like this going down due to server issues

Me too! After a Galaxy update........ Error: Connection Faliure..........still nothing. Put a ticket with support but have to hear back.
Multiplayer is the only reason I bought this game so GOG better get on it.

Aren't the gog servers used for hosting? well... guess they'll fix it sooner or later taking into considderation that crossplay was first recently established

Nice! Maybe I should have bought the steam version. I AM SO MAD!
Ah yes, the problem appeared after a GOG update. I forgot to mention that to Support, so make sure you guys mention it to them.

i told them.... it seems the galaxy update killed it. We'll see......
Nah, I"m having the issue too. Can't connect too.

Everyone is having issues with the servers apparently.
Support replied, they're investigating.

They said:

Hello

A potential cause for the issue was found, an update most likely will happen next week.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

NOT HOPEFUL. GOG just lost me as they have gone so downhill it the past two years....... bye.
I've seen many people with this issue and they almost always fix the issue simply by reinstalling the game or verifying the game cache which is, unfortunately, a Steam exclusive option.

Galaxy does have a "verify/repair" option for games, which I just attempted and it did seem to download something for my installation, but no change in status on the issue for me.

I have no doubt that they're looking into things, just hope it's sooner than later.
Sorry to hear it isn't working. It's good to know they have an equivalent to what Steam has though.
