nitrogenhacks: The iso file I downloaded from dynaverse was corrupted i'm trying to contact them now, might have to wait sometime before i get a reply.

batai: Did you ever find a way to fix the corrupted ISO? I tried emailing several times to them, but never got a reply.

Thanks!
I had the same problem, downloaded the ISO from them twice and it would not mount or even open via 7ZIP.

I checked on their Facebook page and saw them reply to someone with this problem to try opening the ISO with "MagicISO", and sure enough once I downloaded and installed that utility I was able to open the ISO and extract the contents and install.

Not sure why they are sending it out in such an incompatible format instead of a .zip file or something, but posting here in case anyone else comes here via google search.
Just because you've never seen an ISO file before doesn't mean it's not a very widespread format for disc images.

Wow, I had no idea this existed until I grabbed SFC Gold from GoG!

Unfortunately the Dynaverse site seems to be down? Does anyone know what the cause is or whether the ISO has been mirrored elsewhere?

My appologies, I had forgotton about this forum, I did fix it using the 'MagicISO' utility to extract the data.
TIP: If you want to play old windows games, try running an install of win98 under DOSBOX...
It may not be running fast, but nowadays you can get 100.000 cycles from DOSBOX easy..
It's like having a WIN98 machine under a button..
(I actually found a way to make communication possible between the virtual WIN98 and the main system..
It's simple, I just use a check on the existence of a batchfile in the win98 driectory.
Whne this exists, it executes on the main OS..
Easy for copying files into the virtual win98. I use virtual drive for this..
Despite DOSBOX 98, as I call it, not being very fast, the usage of virtual drive,
allows for very fast loading, with minimum time for the virtual HD's access.
In lots of cases this offsets the slowdown...)

Just an FYI..

Also, a dual boot system with WIn7/8/10 and Windows XP helps too..
I'm already using Windows XP in several versions. Some games do not allow for >2GB memories,
and some even don't want to see beyond =>1GB..)
It's nice though to be able to play stuff at most maximum speed now..
Stuff like X series (Btf,@ and 3) with impossibly large bases..

A bit overkill for a game that requires just a bit of editing to get running properly.

Well, once the solution is created you CAN use it for others as well..
That's the nice thing about a general solution..
You can even make links inthe DOSBOX98 linking driectly to any otehr games requiring
or allowing for that solution..

One click - DOSBOS98..
Another click - Any of the games linked underneath..

Only one installment of DOSBOX and W98 required for many games...
Including the ones that need or run in W98's restart in dos mode..

Is the Dynaverse market version a digital edition? it keeps asking me for my shipping address...

Anyone else picked it up?
