Hi, I'm using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro USB Joystick, Windows 7. Game Controller calibration in Windows looks fine, and calibrating the joystick in-game also seems to work ok (on the calibration screen, the cursor moves in accordance with my joystick movements). However, as soon as I enter the game, the ship is starting to spin uncontrollably, making the game unplayable, any help?

Hi! And if you reinstall the game and go with the joystick defaults (I mean not calibrating it in game at all), would it help?
Thank you, this actually works.

Now the only remaining problem is that I can't bind most of the joystick keys, but I guess I can use a joystick to keyboard mapper to circumvent this problem. :)
Nice! Glad it worked.

For the joystick keys, you might try different settings in a dosbox config file located in a game folder, like auto,2axis, 4axis and so on. One of those settings could be working fine for your controller.
Please read more here:

This isn't a DOSbox game.

Sorry, my bad.
So the solution is to uninstall the game, reinstall the game, and never calibrate the joystick?
im quoting myself from a diferent thread:

"the calibration setting is registering severel button presses, when there's just one.

try the calibration several times, make sure you press the button as short as possible and it will eventually work."

or reinstall and never calibrate, yes.
