This solution doesn’t seem to activate the cheats. Double checking that I’ve inputted it correctly but is it possible that these solutions are compatible with the original release of the game and not the GoG version? Alternatively can these cheats be activated via the .cfg file in the base folder? Much in the same way that all 70 secrets can be unlocked in the same way?

I will be looking into this when I get home this evening.
I will then update my post, I have not tested it yet with the gog version
Thanks a bunch. Have always enjoyed the cheat functionality in these older titles. It really allowed people to play around with the systems. Looking forward to your update.

Okay Mate, I have updated my post, the issue is that the GOG Galaxy Client makes it way to complicated and absolutley not intuitive unless you are used to that sort of stuff. There for once gog should jump over its own shadow and copy the procedure from steam.

I also corrected my mistake, I wrote sv_cheats but that is I think only for linux, you need +set cheats 1 for windows.

This goes to the gog-galaxy development team:
I now understand why so many people have real issues getting the start parameters working.
Which is very disappointing, I understand developing software is not easy but come one guys really you can do better than this, it is confusing and to complicated. Think a bit outside of the box, you have a great program but you are not the only one using it my dear developer, wake up to the needs of your users.

Sorry for my rant, but it is so often that software needs to be used in a fashion if it would be a car you would have at least 20 accidents with the car on the way to your work, because of the overcomplicated way you have to use it, and that be normal for everyone. This is just something that can be done so much better in software and really should.

You my friend are a godsend! This worked perfectly!
Yep this is way too complicated would have never figured it out on my own as I'm not overly familiar with the intricacies of GOG. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing. Useful for cheaters. I was also looking for different ways to activate my cheats, and only now when I already found out how, did I also see this post. I downloaded Black Ops Cold War Hacks from iwantcheats.net, and it works great. I wanted to play with cheats in Call of Duty for a long time, and here the wish came true. It's so much fun to play with cheats, and now I enjoy more playing this game, haha. I recommend activating cheats to all who want fun and win in games.

If you can't accsess the console in game add the following
startparameter in the "target" textfield:
+set ui_console 1
This method does not work for me. When I follow these instructions and start the game using the PLAY button, it seems to start in a weird mode which covers the entire map in a cloud, and there are no units to interact with. I'm trying to make it so I can apply and use the cheats in story mode, but it doesn't seem to start in story mode. Any ideas?

... GuidedHacking ...
Very generic and unclear post that makes me suspect scam or clickbait.

I had the same issue, but this is for star trek elite force 2, not star trek armada. Figured that out, I'm still trying to figure that out
