None of these options have fixed it, game still loads blackscreen with a cursor no matter what I do to it. Starting to think this was a mistake.
Do any of you even have DX9 installed? https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/213039385
So after some messing around with install locations, I vaguely remembered that this game hated being under any of the Program Files/Program Files (x86) install locations. Moved it to a folder in root, and it ran fine after that.
Ok guys, I got this to work in seconds using DGVoodoo2.

Install game (wherever)
Go here and grab the latest version.

http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/

Keep it zipped. Drag the exe and conf file into the BC folder.
Find the MS folder in the zip and extract all the x86 and x64 (Not ARM64) files into the BC folder replacing whatever.
Run Dgvoodoo once.
I had set the stbc.exe to run under win7 compatability, not sure it did anything.

Booted right up. Adjust settings from there :)
Also - if it runs choppy as all hell, quit and restart your PC! Drove me nuts last night installing on another pc with the same specs lol

Gudadantza: This error probably seems to be related with some legacy components not installed correctly, indeed.

To know if some of this stuff is installed or modified, be aware if at the end of the installation a cmd screen is shown. let it close by itself. I will be enabling things like directplay and stuff like that, not enabled by default in Windows 10
No CMD window is shown when I install it through GOGgalaxy
Fellows need a little help black screen and courses

Coming at you from the future (2024!) this is the post that got the game working for me with the Remastered mod.

I think it also helps to keep the game outside of the Program Files(x86) directory. Mine is just in the root C:\ directory.

Thanks!
