Has anyone played any or even all of the Star trek games on windows 10 without it crashing or freezing or being completely unplayable? A month ago I attempted to play Star trek Voyager Elite force it was completely unplayable and locked up my laptop. I tried asking on the forums for voyager but never got an answer if I needed a mod or some type of patch. I then went on reddit on their gog forums a few posters had the same problem with multiple star trek games. Has anyone had a similar problem?

I Haven't played all of them. I did try Star Trek Voyager Elite force but I couldn't play it. I refunded it a long time ago, but hen I did have it it wouldn't function. It would load to the main LCAR screen where all the options are once it wasn't locked on the initial title screen after that it froze on the option screen I couldn't get passed it. It was very complicated to even shut the game down. I Don't know if it was because the program has compatibility problems or if it was my laptop. I'm using a Intel i-5 processor. I refunded it back in February I didn't want to keep trying to load it it was very complicated to even turn the damn thing off..

Biggest thing with Windows games from the post xp to later era is to use a desktop resolution the game actually supports until you have/can installed mods to increase resolution if available. This and other games have so many bad reviews just because people on Windows 10 forgot or never expereinced what old games are like. I know Windows 10 really doesn't want you to be able to use 800x600, but I guess this is a time those who say 'just upgrade, it's free!' are wrong.

With the Start Trek titles in particular, the problem is none of them were very stable to begin with on the systems they were made for other than the DOS ones like 25th anniversary. I think Away Team is the only one I remember not having crashing issues in the past. Other than licensing, probably part of why Klingon Academy isn't available.
