Did GOG do any work on these games? Would really like to know.

I don't really think so. As nothing really works well with it. I would have expected it to work on modern pc's and monitor's.

Yes.

What they didn't do is *patch* the games, which is why they only support the same resolutions and aspect ratios as before. That's not something that GOG has ever done, as far as I'm aware.

They only try to make the games work as well as they did "back in the day", except in a rare cases like Diablo where a game is likely to sell extremely well.
