Now bare with me I am not massively technical. However, loved playing this game as a kid. Is there a way to get this to work on Mac given it requires Windows 7 / 8 / 9 or 10? Or am I just barking up a bad tree and it wont ever fully work?

Running it through Wine should probably work.

If you are not very technical, then CrossOver Mac might be a better choice than Wine. Its basically the commercial version of Wine, but unlike Wine, it has a nice user-friendly interface. It's not free ($60 US), but you can use it to run much more than just Armada on your Mac, so it might be worth the investment.
