Hi everyone,
I'm thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to play this game. I played an early PC version of this game 25 years ago but never realized that there were authentic actor voice overs. I'm elated to be able to hear my favorite actors in this game. I'm also looking forward to Judgment Rites.

However, I am stuck in the Masada mission and needing to use an inventory item on a different inventory item. But, I can not figure out what the inventory item icons mean and which item to use. Or, I may not be using the MacOS mouse (the one button is defined correctly with left side/right side by touch) correctly.

Does anyone have a pointer on which inventory item is supposed to be used to correctly get the phaser arc welder working?

It's not intuitive at all, but all you have to do to use one item on another is to select the first item in the inventory screen, then go back to the inventory again and select the other item. If it's something you can use that item on, it uses it, and if it's not, it changes your active inventory item to the second item.

Anyway, to avoid spoiling the puzzle outright, I'm just going to hint that one of the items you pick up in the hallway is a clue to what other item can be used to charge the phaser welder.
