Hallo,

just tried to update the game to 1.0.2 by using the ingame update function.
It seems to download the patch to about 50%, then fails saying:

"Downloading update failed...(Code -1)"

Anyone else had that problem?

Thanks for any advice.

Same thing here.
Any help ?
So there is no 1.0.2 update for GOG and using ingame update fails?

So far the GOG version hasn't been updated to 1.0.2 but the ingame updater worked fine for me.

True enough, I tried and it worked for me.
I'm getting the same issue.
Edit: ignore me

Ok -- I downloaded the version currently on gog which is I think 1.0.1. How do I check what version I have?
When playing the game it doesn't look like the screenshots from 1.0.2 and it seems to be missing features.

I tried to use the in game update button and it results in "Downloading update failed...(Code -1)" like above.

How do I get updated to 1.0.2/3? (If I really do have 1.01.)

Update: My linux desktop started up just fine after install and updated without any issues. This appears to be specific to something about my linux laptop.

Ok, I figured out the cause and the fix! (In case anyone else has this problem)

Cause: Deleting/Renaming/Moving libstdc++.so.6 out of lin64 makes the game unable to update.

Solution (Run update with file existing):

1. Rename libstdc++.so.6 to something like libstdc++.so.6_backup
2. Launch game
3. Rename libstdc++.so.6 back to original name (without closing the game)
4. Go back to game and click update.
5. Patch will succeed, client will try to restart and crash (because you have libstdc++.so.6)
6. Hard close game, and delete/move libstdc++.so.6 again so that its no longer in lin64
7. Launch game again and it should be updated!

Please download the new installer as it's updated to version 2.0.0 :)
Awesome -- 2.0 installer seems to have fixed all the issues i was experiencing!
