Hey the voice acting isnt working for me, its just text across the screen, i was wondering if anyone else had this problem
and if so, if anyone has found a solution to it.

AFAIK the PC version of Star Control 2 didn't have voice acting.

Yeah, the voiceovers were done for the 3DO version. The only way to get it is to use the open-source Ur-Quan Masters and add the voice pack.

One thing that blew me away was the very very VERY big similarity between the Melnorne and the G-Man from Half-Life.
