Greetings fellow Star Control's captains!

I'm playing SC3 and I just reunited the Vux and the Vyro-Ingo who were genetically divided by the Precursors and since I know the Dnyarri have used a Precursor technology to operate the same genetic division upon the Ur-Quan, I assume they used the same technology, possibly the bifurcator that the Daks used to separate the Chmr, so now that I learned how to restore genetically divided species, am I not supposed to restore the Ur-Quan?

After successfully combining Vux and Vyro-Ingo DNA, I warped to Velpunia to the Ur-Quan colony to use my new knowledge to restore them and...nothing. Isn't that supposed to be the next logical action? You learned how to restore a divided species, you know another divided species, you want to restore them as well? But nothing.

Actually, I'm even wondering why the Ur-Quan are in this game because so far they didn't play any role at all, they have just kept to themselves in Velpunia and there has not been a single event involving them in the whole game, have they really been made utterly insignificant? Them who were the badass bad guys of the previous game, they are useless in this game?

While you make a good point, in SC2 we learn that 25000 yrs ago, the UrQuan were a peaceful member of the Sentient Milieu, a collection of 7 interstellar races spread over 100 light years founded by the Taalos. It was the UrQuan who first 'discovered' and were subsequently mind-controlled by the Dnyarri, resulting in the destruction of the Milieu and 2500 yrs being mind-controlled slaves. It was only after learning that by enduring great pain, individuals could sever the psychic link and gain their freedom that the UrQuan managed to throw off the yolk of the Dnyarri - but the pain also drove them mad. This resulted in their subsequent xenophobic stance vs all other sentient races as a survival strategy - with 2 genetically split factions arising: the Kzer-Za scientist/administrators who endorsed imprisoning/enslaving all sentient races behind impenetrable planetary shields, and the Kohr-Ah warrior/workers who endorsed wiping out all sentient alien races entirely. These two factions fought a civil war to decide the fate of the galaxy. This is the backdrop for all the subsequent action of SC2.

So apparently, in SC3, the UrQuan have returned to racial sanity and become peaceful again. And I guess either the Kohr-Ah were all wiped out, or the Kzer-Za don't want/need to be reunited with their hated ideological brethren.
