GameMaster_83: All I am seeing online is them removing content and just putting in as little effort as possible.
They are maximum effort in stopping modding though.
This is a insult to the gaming community and needs to be made a extra to the original games, not the other way around.
Pure Garbage.
The OG's and "Enhanced Editions" are literally separate entries in the GOG Library. And if you buy the EE versions, you also get the OG's.
If you owned the OG's, you got extra entries in your GOG Account for the "Enhanced Editions" for whatever you already owned.
B/c it's all separate entries in the library, it's simple - there's no forced updates or anything here from OG-to-Enhanced, thankfully. So, since they are separate - well, you don't have to use them (new version). If you like the OG, just stick w/ it.
Also, give it time - maybe the dev's will fix the new versions & un-censor them...or hopefully someone will make mods to possibly fix the censorship issues & VO-removals.
If you have modern OS's and modern hardware, the EE's can be really nice in certain ways - having 64-bit bit OS support and Global Illumination (you can disable G.I. if you got old-hardware) is nice. I really like having additional gamepad support here too. Runs really nice at 1080p60fps on my RTX 3060m laptop or my RTX 3070 desktop.
