I used to be able to get Clear Sky to start no problems before but anymore when installing it through GOG Galaxy it comes up with the above issue. I've attached an image if that'll help at all. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, I'm going to attempt to delete the files/manually uninstall cleanly and then install from the backup installer you can get but I doubt that'll work. Call of Pripyat and Shadow of Chernobyl were easy to fix because it was just an issue of addressing the duplicate lines in the fsgame file. But Clear Sky? I have no idea how to solve this.

looks like your game folder is in program files. This is a specially protected windows folder, so installing stuff their that needs to write to its own directory can cause problems, so try installing it someplace else.

If you are using windows 10, disable GameDVR, and also try disabling any other game recording software you might have.

On Windows 7 there is a windows update that breaks CS, can also be found here on the forum.

Other than that I really don't know, try to google the specific error you are getting to receive less generalized advice.
Necro thread...

Just had the same problem. Fixed by completely uninstalling (including mods), removing the "Stalker-STCS" folder in Documents, then installing again.

I think the problem was an old Stalker-STCS folder that I'd copied from my old PC.
