Hello everyone, I just started playing Shadow of Chernobyl and I wanted to play it in Ukranian, so I downloaded an Ukranian language pack and was all set with the dialogue. However, since I don't speak Ukranian, I needed subtitles, which made me download the only apparent available for that, which is called "In Game CC and Subtitles (1.00)" and is available on Nexus. The problem is that the cutscenes in the game are not working with subtitles, and only the gameplay sections have the subtitles. Is there any way to fix this?

That's actually in the mod's readme. If you use the mod with SoC version 1.0003, cutscenes have subtitles. But GSC changed the engine as of version 1.0004, making it incompatible with InGameCC's VideoCC subtitle caption support. See the second paragraph under the Warning section in 1.00's STALKER-InGameCC_ReadMe.txt.

GOG's version is now 1.0006. You would have to find a copy of SoC 1.0003, or find a retail 1.0 copy and patch it to 1.0003, if you want cutscene subtitles to work.

I read that, but I was expecting someone had come up with a solution for it by now or some kind of edit. Thank you for your answer, I'll unfortunately have to uninstall the mod.
