For anyone that might be trying to install the Sky Reclamation Project (http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Sky_Reclamation_Project;103579) with the GOG version of Clear Sky:

If you install it as directed and overwrite your fsgame.ltx file, Clear Sky will not function properly. If you keep the fsgame.ltx file that comes with the GOG install, it will work fine. In other words, to install SRP, extract the SRP files, and copy all of them except for fsgame.ltx into the root directory of your GOG Clear Sky install.

Just thought I'd share this, as it was giving me some trouble.

EDIT: the problem doesn't occur in the newest version of the SRP: http://stalker.filefront.com/file/;122002

I just installed the Sky Reclamation Project, although I am not very far into it. I installed v1.0.3a (http://stalker.filefront.com/file/;122002) as opposed to the version you have listed with the link - v1.0.0.

What sort of issue did you fix by keeping the original fsgame.ltx file?

A very strange one. If I overwrote fsgame.ltx, the game wouldn't recognize my keyboard.

I wasn't actually aware there was a more current version. I'll have to install that instead.
Aaaaaand I broke my saves.

Overwriting the fsgame.ltx probably changed the path to your config/saves. My default GoG install of CS had this for the original path in that file:

$app_data_root$ = true| false| C:\Users\LOGIN_NAME\DOCUME~1\STALKE~2

Where LOGIN_NAME is a place holder, of course. Put in your windows username there.

Yeah, I think that's the issue. I compared the two files and that seemed to be the only difference. So it's easier to just keep the original GOG file.
Was looking it over and it appears fsgame.ltx is not replaced in v1.0.3a. I suspect this incompatibility probably applies to the steam version as well, likely why they removed it. Wonder what replacing fsgame.ltx was trying to fix in the first place.

No idea. The appdata path is literally the only difference between the two versions.
The early versions of the SRP included a pre-modified fsgame.ltx file because with the earlier patches the game would not detect mods without altering the file and it seemed like a good idea at the time to include a pre-modifed file for users who were less computer-savvy. Newer versions of Windows changed the default user data directory path, as did the Steam version of the game, and so it became necessary to remove the file from the SRP for compatibility reasons. This was not a problem, however, because by that time the game had been fully patched and the requirement to alter the fsgame.ltx file in order to make the game detect mods had been removed.
I came across this:

Repair Kits for SRP v1.0.3a by Decane.

Better late than never :

The STALKER series engines all share the same particularity : config files are initialized during first run. To ensure that your patches installs themselves smoothly, please proceed in that order :

1 - install the game
2 - run it once with « new game »
3 - apply official patches
4 - apply mods ( ZRP / SRP / Complete / Priboy / whatever tickles your fancy ).

And DON'T INSTALL IT IN /PROGRAM FILES/ dammit !!
Never install anything in /Program Files/ !

The UAC is always at max security in system folders and will revert patches / mods / configs / and so on.

Instead create a C:\GAMES\ folder and install your games there, you'll avoid 90% of the mysterious bugs that way.
