Would someone tell me if this version includes the Dr Pepper promotional DLC?

It added several "mech" parts to the game, that (as far as I know) were not included in the expansion pack or later patches.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't, since the Dr. Pepper patch broke several language versions other than English and GOG is offering the game multilingual. It also isn't mentioned anywhere in the game's description / documentation.
The collection contains serials for SPORE, Galactic Adventures and the Creepy & Cute Parts Pack, nothing more.

They could only add it as extras but I am not sure about it . Maybe only Dr. Pepper have distribution rights .
I didn't know that the bug of braking the game was due to the languages? I always thought it was the missing of social functions to the parts itself?
There has been released a fan made fix for this (a mod) that fixes the problems as far as I know.

I would love to see these parts included. Just like the Galactic Edition parts which I'm missing right now.

Edit: I checked my Galactic Edition box for the serial of the additional parts. I've either lost it or there was never such a thing. Maybe I'm mistaking this with the Sim Medieval Collectors edition... Time to do some research.

Maybe somebody wants to try this... you can still download the 1.06 patch here: http://www.moddb.com/games/spore/downloads/spore-patch-6-v106-dr-pepper

Sadly it doesn't appear to include that.

Is it official patch ? I mean directly uploaded Dr.Pepper's patch or someone packed it ?
Good news :) Although I can't really understand why, I have robo-parts available in my Spore copy from GOG!

Can anyone else confirm this? I did install the pack with these parts a long time ago on another copy of the game, but this is a GOG install and I didn't keep the old one, nor the save files.

As far as I know that download is an official one... but I'm not 100% certain is the whole Dr. Pepper action wasn't in my country. So this is the only installer I know.
But I've tried it and it doesn't recognise the game as being installed. Derp. I could install it with my physical copy though.

I haven't seen robo parts in the GOG Spore game yet. I'll try if I can find them.

Just go into creature editor and check out different pages for creature parts. For example limbs - there should be one page for classic Spore parts, one page for creepy & cute parts and a third page for robotic parts.
If you've installed it before then, as far as I know, it's treated separately from your main Spore install. Unless you removed the Dr Pepper install, it'll sit there on your machine forever.

I still have the folder on my current, retail install - but I'd love the convenience of the GOG version, especially if it was complete.

Well, that explains it, then.

You could confirm it by looking in your Electronic Arts folder for BP2_Data, or "2010 DR PEPPER EA" etc. etc. in your list of installed programs.

If someone had either show up in a "clean" install then that should confirm its inclusion.
Amazing! It is part of the Collection!
I've tried installing the patch I linked before on my old Spore installation (1-2 weeks ago).
But I never had a third tab with parts, only a second (the exo skeleton parts or whatever they're called; the bone ones).

I completely removed my old Spore Galaxy Edition installation by checking all folders. I even deleted the whole Electronic Arts Folder as it only contained the Spore folder.
So my GOG installation is as clean as it can get, besides the 1.06 patch never added a third tab to my game.

But now I do have that third tab with the parts. Lovely! :D

Edit: one thing though. The is a 2010 DR Pepper uninstall in my list of installed programs. I didn't know it would list as a separate installer so I never did run that unistaller. When I run it it says I should uninstall Spore first... funny because the uninstaller should link to the original EA location which I completely deleted.
Unless GOG installs this and added the 2010 DR Pepper uninstaller.. which seems highly unusual for GOG to do.

Hate to burst the bubble, but they are not included in the GOG version. You must still have them installed from another source. They were a part of patch 1.06, which was unofficially distributed ROW given the parts were never made available outside of the US only promo.
That makes no sense. I'm from the EU. And I only installed the patch I downloaded from ModDB... which did nothing. It didn't add the parts to my game.
How would that patch add the parts to the GOG version? The GOG version is even installed in a complete different directory. O.o

Weird. I'm going to research this.
