Largejaroalmonds: Good point. heh. But seeing as how this one is already made and everything, I'm assuming it's a relatively minor fix.

I hope it's soon I have the original and loved it, never got round to getting the expansions and I would like to have em all i don't have to hunt out the disc... just can't wait.
Love this game. A few months ago I actually found a place selling a Spellforce Universe box which has all the Spellforce and Spellforce 2 games and expansions. I cannot believe this series is not more popular or even being copied today by other games.

I'm torn as I know the universe boxset is available but I would like to play them without having the discs handy.. ;) oh what do do????? get the boxset or pay that little bit extra but not having to hunt out the disc to play?????
Actually SF Universe Box set is full of crap.
Pictures on disks are wrong. To run SF2 you need to downoload ~500 Mb from internet. What a crap? And boy, you will have problems with SF2 on Vista x64 until you will not updated tages to x64.
And all time you need to have a disk in the a drive (WTF novadays? Hell, soon optical drives will be the history like floppy, cuz internet speed today is really fast and mad).
Spellforce2+DW you can actually buy it from STEAM, but steam are so crappy about 3d party games. Spellforce2 there still v.1.5. What the heck? How a normal guy can play in SF2? Don't tell me anything about disks, they are for your granpda to the collection near with vynil's (but, hell, vynils are good!!).
Spellforce + add-ons from GOG, WE NEED YOU!!! GOG where ours little pleassssssure.
And GOG, SF2!!! Think about it.

I read on Amazon uk i think that the universe box set cd-keys don't work either so I guess It's the GOG version....I second that, GOG please get SF2 and the addon too...pretty please, cause it's gonna be me birthday soon and I would lke the complete set ta much.
(There i think i managed to get away with sounding like and eight year old). ;)

Considering ever increasing size of games I highly doubt DD will entirely replace retail boxes any time soon. I for one don't fancy downloading 12+ GB of data to play a game and I'm sure when Blu-ray (or other HD disk format) becomes commonplace, games soon start filling them up as well.
Oh and lets wait till Spellforce Platinum gets here first before wishing for SP2 :P. If SF:P sales go well, I'm sure SF2 will get here eventually :)
So can we actually start to hopes for SP2+add-on on GOG now? =)

Ohh, c'mon, 2007.... In 2007 I was a slave for another world corporation. Looks like it was centuries ago.
And the second problem is - You unable to play this on normal way, because:
1) try to find old boxes;
2) u can find SP Universe but prepare to download patch ~500 Mb;
3) steam don't care about update of this little baby.
So, how a normal guy can play the second part without any pain in his ass if not with help of GOG team? Do not hesitate to tell me,plz.

Yeah ok, but still lol, we are talking about good OLD games :P
This is why I often wish GOG was just GG. Their service is excellent and I prefer it far above, say, Steam. Hopefully someday. After using GOG the thought of buying another Steam game makes me shudder. I have nightmares of it, still.
Interestingly, I saw Spellforce 2 in a store yesterday. Almost bought it, but I noticed some thing completely bizarre that made me turn it down: the CD key was on a sticker on the outside of the box. Actually stuck on the outside of the cellophane wrapping. I told the clerk, but she didn't seem to care.Probably wouldn't have mattered, but I didn't want to take the chance on getting a compromised key.
Ok, I'm taking all my words about SP2 back.
As result you can install retail path on STEAM version.
So, GOG, do not relese SP2 here, please... =)

?
Meanwhile, STEAM patched SP2 with last 2.01 patch. At last. So there is no any problems now at all.
SP series - go get it from GOG.
SP2 series - go get it from STEAM.
Without any troubles. Whew.
