Same problem here. I would like to pick all races in skirmish as owner of all Spellforce 3 games.
when you play against the ai, you can just switch between soul harvest and fallen god. if you play against another player however, you need to both play either soul harvest or fallen god.

Still solves nothing. Users want trolls and dwarves/dark elves in the same match, or at least the option to do so.

I have the same issue. I also send a bug report to THQ/Grimlore using the link shared earlier.

I do wonder why the developers went with standalone expansions instead of traditional expansions. In the latter case, there would have been no issues with skirmish mode for GOG users.

On the other hand, the 8-Bit RTS games use a similar system where if you install all of the standalone games, you get access to all of the different factions in skirmish and multiplayer (Armies, Hordes, Invaders). So this isn't a problem that should exist really. What I fear is that THQ will oblige us to create an account to access this stuff in skirmish, which sort of defeats the purpose of releasing a game "DRM free" (and will create problems when at some point the publisher pulls the plug on the servers, which is inevitable).

In short, I hope this gets resolved soon. These games are great.
So I registered for a THQ Nordic account, think that maybe this would help.

I logged in with Soul Harvest and then with Fallen God. No dice. When I go to skirmish, the factions from Soul Harvest are still crossed out, with the tooltip explaining I should get Soul Harvest or the standalone versus game (that is only available on Steam). In Soul Harvest, I can only play with the humans, not any of the other factions. I didn't bother to reinstall the original Spellforce III and login there, but I doubt that would work anyway.

What a nuisance.
Nah, to make a long story short, devs don't care about GoG Spellforce 3 players : /
What's a huge mistake to buy the game here.

I asked for some info on Steam about GoG and Steam corssplay.
I tried the versus version which seems to run on a version that's been updated on November. Meanwhile my Soul Harvest GoG version runs on a version from April, I believe.

They simply have yet to update the game which means that the pvp servers and the Fallen God Campaign just can't read each other's out.
I managed to pester the head of community management enough to get him to say in the Steam forums that the devs are apparently working on an update for GoG versions.

Hopefully that's true because I recently came to like the skirmish, but there are some stuff I noticed from Versus and Fallen God I'd like to use (like armor updates for workers), and I'd like to try a co-op skirmish with some friends through the free Versus mode.

He said that the servers are all the same, unlike Dying Light which apparently are 2 different servers, so that should be possible, but only if they update my GoG copy.
Oh and having a shared THQ account doesn't help, I wasn't able to unlock the dwarves of Dark Elves on the steam versus version, despite both versions recognizing my account name and password.
i have tried all 3 versions and what i found out is that fallen god contains improvements to the base races, like removal of the iron smelter. the humans also got their arya buildings reduced from 2 to 1. they no longer need a separate building to process arya. adding those changes to the dwarves and dark elves takes time.
All these issues could have been avoided if they had just released one game and then released Soul Harvest and Fallen God as DLC expansion packs. I honestly don't know why all of the games had to be standalone. Must have been for marketing purposes or something.

Anyway, I hope they make good on their promise to fix GOG versions. Past experience with other developers/publishers tells me not to get my hopes up, but THQ Nordic has so far proved to be okay.
standalone have its strengths but, also it weaknesses, that is true. they should have released them both as DLC and as standalone, that would have worked well.
Is this fixed yet? Still holding off on purchasing the entire series.

Wondering this myself. This is making me regret I got the first two on GoG instead of Steam honestly.
Holding off getting the last xpac as well for now.
you could post it on the official forums if those are still around. i have not been there for a while myself so, i do not know.

Nope. Still doesn't work. Quite disappointing.

Edit: since the developers apparently haven't responded to this issue, I've contacted GOG support. Maybe they'll be able to do something about this.

Response from GOG support:

> Thank you for your feedback.
> My colleagues from the Product team are aware of this issue and they already contacted the developer.
> Unfortunately, I don't have ETA for the potential patch release at the moment.
> I apologise for the inconvenience.
