Is there a way to stop the crashing and problem with the game itself? It's annoying while playing.

Have you tried to roll back tot he original Gold Editon? Thats less buggy then this "Anniversary Edition" that is just "Demons of the Past" with Gold-Edition campaign files out of the beta phase copied over it.

abdollah87: How do I switch to the Gold edition?
on Steam you can switch branches, if you have it here on GoG you sadly have to grab the retail version of the game.
