I think that the issue they have is to not be able to integrate separately the 3 games with Galaxy (achievements, time played, etc...) while they are launched by the same base game... so instead to add an half solution, they prefere to do nothing, or maybe they are just taking their time to work on a complete solution... who knows...
extesy you are a hero for making these instructions and the new dat file. This is exactly what I was looking for. It's too bad I had to spend like 20 minutes searching to find this thread. If the dev/gog aren't gonna streamline this, they might as well point everyone to this post.

Though, it is still sad I have to use the bandwidth to redownload 40+ GB for each expansion, only to delete them to free disk space. Considering the DRM-free nature of gog especially, they should just make those couple GB files in the bin_addons folders available for purchasers.

Also as an alternative to what powergod said (since I am no longer concerned about updates past this point), I just turned off auto updates and then pointed soul harvest to the Reforced exe. Then I could keep using gog as a launcher. Basically, in my attached image, I switched the default exe. Any of the 3 games can be launched in galaxy to then play any of the content. But which one you choose to launch will determine where gog tracks your time, etc.

They are actually working for an update, but are having issues. The last version should already work if you copy the expansions in the reforced folder, without the need of the file pointed here.
More updates will follow.

It's studio lies. They already said on their discord. they will do nothing for the gog version regarding merging games. Grimlord treats us like crap nothing more.
Thanks for taking the time to figure out and post a solution here extesy.

This really should be a sticky thread.

extesy: I got tired of waiting for THQ to fix the GOG version so I took the matter in my own hands. Here is what you need to do in order to play all expansions (Fallen God and Soul Harvest) from the base game (Spellforce 3 Reforced):

Thank you @extesy... it works.
Does it mean I can uninstall the other 2 game-folders (standalone-games) from my ssd or do we still need them installed (e.g. regristry entry etc.)?

If you copied the required files over, you can safely uninstall the standalone expansions (Soul Harvest & Fallen God) to free up space.

But at some point in the future if they patch the game, you'd need to download the standalone games again and re-copy the files over to Reforced, so there is an argument to keeping them installed if you have the space.
They still haven't patched the game yet to fix this...

Someone wrote a little FAQ to the most common issues with this game, and i tell you, this seems just to be the peak of the iceberg: https://forum.spellforce.info/viewtopic.php?p=369#p369
Requires internet to even play AI skirmishes. Is that a new thing?

Yes since they "Reforced" update the game. It mostly an always online game now. They want your statistics data no matter what. Also selling collected hardware info. Its quite scary what you can analyse with wireshark what this "game" sends home of all your data.

See this:

I can not play SpellForce 3 Reforced offline “Network request failed. (unknown error)”

Yepp that’s design intended. Please consider SF3 an always online game. If the game can on hosting a game session not connect to its “home Server” it does not allow you to play any game/mode. Its is not possible to play SF3 100% offline. Since this is not fixed for years by now, it must be intended design.

and also many times reported on the steam forums, but they censor and delete everything there that may warn people of buying this "game".
