I cannot stop playing this game. It's not quite a full RPG and not quite a full strategy game, but it's amazing to be able to play both at the same time. I'm new to RPG-RTS, I guess, but if more are like this game I'll definitely buy more. Free Play or whatever in particular is fun because the maps are set up to be played through pretty much in sequence according to your level. I'm up to level eleven and have just unlocked medium headquarters- looking forward to everything else.

If anyone wants to try internet multiplayer, let me know.

I haven't tried the game yet, but I bought it during the Christmas sale. I'm anxious to play it (it's on my to-play list after Alpha Protocol -- I have maybe another week or two of that -- but I could take an evening to play this).

Is the multiplayer coop?

Another great RPG-RTS that I could recommend would be Warlords Battlecry 3. I haven't actually played it. I played Warlords Battlecry 2. But 2 was great and I heard 3 was even better.
There's a Multiplayer button and a Free Play button. It's my understanding that Multiplayer is head-to-head, with teams and the Free Play(which gives the option of Single Player, LAN or Internet) uses map rules (either RPG-style or races-versus-monsters style).
I'll definitely take a look at Warlords.
Spellforce 1 is not so good for a multiplayer game in my opinion and i have played many avatars in Singleplayer. This is simply because the balance just isn't there and there are extremely overpowered magic spells. Spellforce is surely extremely good for singleplayer and far better than warcraft 3 which i think is only good for multiplayer but the singleplayer of warcraft 3 is already boring the second playthrough because it's pretty much the same and the game is very simple. Spellforce 1 on the contrary is very deep and you can build your avatar just as you want and there are very very interesting builds
multi-player on this game is incredibly fun mate I'm have to buy this game on gog.com when i get the chance i never played the expansions.

I'd play this with someone /thread Hi-jack XD
