Just a quick Dosbox newbie question.
I've just started playing SQ4, and saved my game. Where is the c: drive mounted by default?

That is, I can see that I've saved the game within the game, but I can't find the physical directory location on my hard drive outside of dosbox?

That is a good question. Inspecting the DOSBox startup files, might give you some clues...

For future use, I might have an alternative option for you.

Personally I use D-Fend reloaded, for all DOS Games. It's a very user friendly DOSBox frontend, which makes it really easy to change settings.

E.g. Space Quest 1 and 2 are best enjoyed in Tandy mode. This is really easy to configure with D-Fend reloaded.

Since the previous answer doesn't actually answer the question I thought I'd put in my 2c.

I've started playing SQ1 and found a problem with saving games. It asks me to enter the location of the file I wish to save. This is fine except the game goesn't like any of the paths you decide to enter. After a bit of looking around and tweaking, I managed to work out the C: drive, as far as the game is concerned, is the actual game folder. i.e. if you saved the game on D:\SQ1 then the game thinks that folder is your C drive root. Make any changes to your save path in the game accordingly and take it from there.

Hope this helps with the others. I've not tried them yet :)
