Forgive me for posting a few threads to submit my feedback. I am unable to post more in my original thread because of the limitations, and I can't simply make a second post in my own thread because it doesn't let me. Please hang in there with me while I try to put the rest of these threads out, and I hope it doesn't inconvenience anyone. It should only be a small handful of threads, and I hope maybe a moderator could merge them for me later if that's okay. Thank you for understanding and have a very good day.
#61 I'm starting to doubt that space suits in the distant future would have such an incredibly low amount of oxygen time. They run out so quickly that the crew is always in an oxygen emergency no matter what I do. The game is willing to send the crew on paths and jobs that it knows they can't actually return from.
#62 I notice that crew do not always take the opportunity to refill their oxygen when the shutle comes by, even just to drop some items off. The crew stand so close to the docked shuttle and have around 50% or less oxygen and they don't attempt to refill even though the shuttle is very close by and wouldn't cause any problems. These missed oxygen refill opportunities often result in my crew passing away.
#63 It would be nice to be able to set the temperature of all the temperature regulators on one ship at the same time from one temperature regulator.
#64 I would really appreciate being able to remove notifications that keep warning me about things after I have already selected the notification.
#65 I notice in the electricity view option that some areas always stay orange or red (medium and low electricity) even if you have good sources very near, like exactly the next tile over. I'm playing sandbox mode so I asked, okay how many electricity sources will I need to finally make the area turn green? So finally I realized that it took the complete surrounding of some areas with a very expensive amount of electricity machines in game to make the floor turn green there, which would have been impossible if I had not been playing in sandbox mode, because of the very high resource cost and just the lack of space to put so many things close together. I also had 6 of the largest possible electricity generators connected to the system at the same time. It's very surprising how difficult it is to get your space ship to glow all green with good ratings.
#66 it would be nice to be able to build multiple floors of the ship (eventually, like much later) or the ability to build much larger ships. The reason I would like to be able to do this is because I have been having lots of fun in sandbox mode (I like the freedom and having less stress) and I noticed that even if I build a ship that is maximum size, and takes up 100% of the entire build area, I really can't comfortably fit 100% of every single type of buildable object on my ship. At the same time, since I feel forced to use all the space available, my ships always end up just being a giant square, so I can't actually make my ship into a cool shape, and I miss out on that fun. To be 100% clear, this is not in any way a sandbox related issue, because if I were to somehow be able to survive in the normal game without sandbox long enough to get enough resources to build to that size of my ship, I would end up in the same situation just the same. I don't think multiple floors are that scary, for example if there were just some up and down arrows that let you view the different floors, I feel like that would make it pretty much 99% stress free for me as a player to manage my entire ship, as long as I hade enough crew to kind of just attempt to stay on each floor in their own zone as much as possible. This could be made even easier by simply fully automating the other floors with AI computer drones/androids and an AI computer to handle everything so the player doesn't have to multitask everything. (I mean for example, a buildable AI computer on your ship)
#67 it would be nice to have shuttles that can carry 10 people, or even 20 people, and have extremely high oxygen capacity and extremely high storage capacity.
#68 it would be wonderful if we could have mining/salvage pods that can fully deconstruct an abandoned ship and also pick up and move all the items automatically so that nobody has to come and move it to a shuttle and transfer it, and if they could deconstruct object in a way that they don't turn into salvage, instead the items are saved and ready to build with.
#70 I would really like to be able to give myself credits in sandbox mode because I keep meeting ships that have no credits and I can't trade to get credits, and then I can't give gifts to anyone.
#71 I had some really weird moments where my crew were all equipped and then suddenly their weapons are missing. I noticed while being attacked that my crew just kept walking far away to punch instead of shoot, and I realized that some of them didn't have guns anymore.
#72 I would really appreciate if the (panicked!) status would be removed because my crew just run off and and get hurt and I can't give them commands. In my opinion it's just not fun and I don't like it at all. The person panicking is also in a very good mood, which doesn't make sense because then they wouldn't be panicking. panicking, just like sleeping is a huge waste of time and I'm held hostage by the game waiting for it to be over when I could be doing other things. I have to babysit the panicked crew member while everyone runs out of oxygen because I can't tell them to go to the ship or get into the shuttle, and I can't go and keep exploring because then they will be attacked by an enemy when I am far away.
I'm just so frustrated with this, because the game is stopping me from playing the game.
#73 I notice that the ship guns don't do any damage to ships that are already destroyed. This is very disappointing for me because I can't keep shooting and watch any kind of realistic physics destruction (even if it's just some blocks breaking and more explosions) it seems that once ships are destroyed, they become invincible abandoned ships. This doesn't make any sense to be because any already destroyed ship should be even easier to destroy than a fully functional one, and I have seen other AI have fights before where they were able to continue damaging the ship hull of their enemy even after the ship was destroyed, but I am unable to do so. I wanted to try to destroy the ship further, like cutting it in half and putting more holes into the hull and just really making sure the enemy were defeated, but the game does not let me. It's a huge let down for me because it was one of the things I was looking forward to, but I'm not sure where I got the impression from. It just looked/seemed like I would be, or should be able to cause some destruction that was more than just what appears to be a scripted one time ship explosion.
