I'm intrigued by this small outfit...

Has anyone checked out Dungeon Odyssey? I'm very tempted to download it, but not sure of the quality and 20 bucks is kinda steep, especially when it's probably going to find it's way to GOG someday.

How about Space Empires: Star Fury? This note piqued my interest: Freeform structure: Follow the given missions, or perform your own as a merchant, mercenary, or pirate. Also, it take place in the same Space Empires universe, which is a plus.
I buckled and purchased Dungeon Odyssey and I'm very glad I did! To my surprise, it's a roguelike. I think it would sell better if it was marketed as such. I haven't delved very deeply into it yet as most of my freetime has been consumed by SEIV, but it looks like a very solid game with tons of spells and great character development. The combat seems solid, too. I especially like the artwork and interface; all very clean.

It looks like this game would greatly benefit from user created content, but it seems like there aren't many people who are even aware that this game exists. Hopefully GOG picks it up soon and exposes it to a wider audience.

Malfador Machinations reminds me of another small strategy gaming company called Cryptic Comet that released the excellent Solium Infernum. I highly recommend that one if anyone's interested.

Aaron Hall is a genius!

Thanks for the heads up, I had never heard of Cryptic Comet, and all their games seem interesting!
I used to have respect for Malfador Machinations and Aaron as a developer,...but after Aaron abandoned his last game without fixing it, I will never buy another game from him.

Here is a link to the forums for World Supremacy......I would read some of the posts there and keep them in mind before buying any game from MM.

Yes, indeed, Dungeon Odyssey is a little gem that remained virtually unknown, alas.
